'Is that velvet?': Drake juices Taylor Swift dating rumours by posting intimate photo of them together... after 'introducing her to his mom'

There have been whispers of a romance between the two chart-topping artists.

And now Drake has added even more fuel to that fire.

The Too Good hitmaker took to his Instagram on Friday morning to share an intimate snap of he with Taylor Swift together at his 30th birthday last week.

In the snap the two had their backs to the camera as they appeared to be having a nice conversation between the two of them.

'Is that velvet?,' Drake captioned the image which is a reference to classic comedy Eddie Murphy film Coming To America.

He was also obviously making reference to his smart dinner as the plush material could be seen glowing from the camera's flash.

Taylor showcased her flawless skin as she wore a clinging leather pencil skirt and a matching bandeau bra for the occasion.

The 26-year-old star's blonde locks were worn down as she accessorised with a gold bangle around her bicep with a matching henna tattoo of wings on her back.

There have been rumours of a romance between the two as he even introduced her to his mom and friends according to a report from TMZ last week.

However, not too much should be read into this as insiders for the gossip site say that he was merely making sure she met his entourage as she is not a regular guest at his gatherings.

Drake celebrated his birthday at hotspot Nobu in West Hollywood last week as his mother Sandi Graham was spotted outside of the restaurant with a group of his friends.

The One Dance hitmaker and Shake It Off singer are friendly, however, as they were spotted hanging out at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August 2013.
