Manny Pacquiao weighs in 2.2 lbs under 147 lbs limit ahead of showdown against Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas

Manny Pacquiao weighed in for his world title comeback 2.2 lbs under the welterweight limit of 147 lbs.

Jessie Vargas, the Las Vegas based champion, scaled 146 1/2 lbs as the fighters took to the stage at Encore Theatre.

Pacquiao was comfortably under the limit with Vargas slightly heavier but both men will now refuel ahead of the contest at Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday night.

Earlier in the day Paquiao led a prayer meeting in a Las Vegas Chapel.
Pacman joined about a hundred worshippers, the majority of them his fellow Filipinos.

He not only offered the prayers but, multi-tasker that he is, played the piano. Pacquiao was born a Catholic but became an Evangelical Protestant.

He is also a Senator in his home-land where, despite his profound religious beliefs, he is promoting a bill to enact the death penalty for 'heinous crimes' including drug trafficking, murder and aggravated rape.

The only eight-division world champion in ring history, he hopes to become the first serving Senator to win a title as he challenges Las Vegas resident Jessie Vargas for his WBO welterweight belt.
