Zlatan
Ibrahimovic will miss Manchester United's clash with Arsenal after
picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the Red Devils' win at
Swansea.
Ibrahimovic
was booked after a tackle on Leroy Fer while the Swansea midfielder was
on the floor, on an afternoon where he scored twice in a 3-1 victory.
As
a result he will now miss out on the chance to face Arsene Wenger's
Gunners, when they meet at Old Trafford after the international break.
The
Swedish striker picked up his first booking of the season in United's
home loss to rivals City on September 10, before being cautioned in the
back-to-back draws with Stoke and Liverpool.
He
saw yellow again when United knocked Pep Guardiola's City out of the
EFL Cup and will now serve his suspension following his caution in south
Wales.
Ibrahimovic's
run of six games without a goal came to an end at the Liberty Stadium,
with a piece of suspect goalkeeping from Lukasz Fabianski playing a part
in the first.
The Polish
goalkeeper's weak hand enabled Ibrahimovic's long-range effort to nestle
in the bottom corner of his goal, before United's Swedish striker poked
home his second after 33 minutes.
His
first goal was the 25,000th in the history of the Premier League and,
in typical style, the Swedish forward was keen to talk up his own
achievements.
When
asked after the match if he was aware of his accomplishment, the
striker said: 'Ah, no I wasn't. I thought it was only me who had scored
25,000…'
Following
his suspension Ibrahimovic will be available for United again for their
Europa League clash with Feyenoord before being eligible in domestic
football once again when they host West Ham on November 26.
