Chelsea have a weaker first team than Tottenham... I'm not sure they will win Premier League, says Harry Redknapp

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says he feels the north Londoners have a stronger starting XI than Chelsea, despite the Blues beating Spurs on Saturday.

Antonio Conte's team returned to the top of the Premier League by coming from behind to win 2-1, with goals from Pedro and Victor Moses cancelling out Christian Eriksen's opener.

Redknapp felt the result could have been different if Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino had his strongest team available, and thinks they could win their first league title since 1961 if all his players regain fitness.

Speaking as a pundit on BT Sport, Redknapp said: 'I think when they have got a fully fit team, I would not want to be swapping anyone in Chelsea's best team for Tottenham's.

'Maybe Chelsea are top of the league, but you do not stop the league today.

'The back four, you get Alderweireld back, you get Rose back, you get a fully fit squad, and I think Tottenham are excellent.
'In the first half I thought they completely outplayed Chelsea today, Chelsea got the goal at the right time and it brought them back into the game, second half they were much better, but I still think Tottenham will be bang in there at the end of the season.

'In terms of squad, you would take Chelsea, but the actual starting eleven, I would not swap any of that Tottenham team personally.'

Redknapp, who led Spurs to the Champions League quarter finals in 2011, also said he still doubted Chelsea's title credentials and their 3-4-3 formation.

That is despite Conte's team having won all seven league games since they adopted the style, scoring 19 and conceding once.

He said while Chelsea's star players are in great form, there are some members of the first team which cannot sustain their superb run.

Redknapp said: 'I think there are three or four players in that Chelsea team who are not good enough to be playing in a team that wins the Premier League. I still think they are short at left back, I'm still not convinced by the three at the back, I still don't know if they have enough flair in midfield.

'They have got fantastic talent, I love watching Hazard play and Costa has been outstanding, but I'm still not sure that all around that is a team that will win the league.'
